Priced at $999 (256GB) and $1,119 (512GB), it offers excellent value as a reliable alternative to competitors like the iPhone 16 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro. If you don't really see yourself using an S Pen or need the slightly more premium factor a Galaxy S25 Ultra comes with, then the Galaxy S25 Plus is the perfect choice for Samsung fans.

Arguably, the best part of the Galaxy S25 series is the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and the improved heat dissipation techniques. The rest are standard-fare features we've come to expect that do the job well but won't excite. Maybe I'm expecting too much, or maybe I know most people can get a great smartphone experience without spending as much. Shouldn't we expect more for $1,300?

If you have a Galaxy S22 or older, switching to the S25 or S25 Plus could be a significant upgrade. If you have an S23, you can benefit from improved battery life and dip your toes into Samsung's newer AI waters. But if you're rocking an S24, there's no reason to pay for relatively modest upgrades. Ultimately, the S25 and S25 are much the same as what we've seen before. But that isn't such a bad thing, when "the same" largely still does the trick.

The Galaxy S25 Plus is a tougher sell given how it shares the same set of Galaxy AI features and cameras found on the cheaper S25 model. It's a powerful, big-screen phone, but it's hampered by a dimmer display and modest battery life improvements over its predecessor.

The Galaxy S25 Plus is a great phone that gets the job done thanks to a large display, capable cameras, and a Snapdragon chip that performs excellently. One UI 7 is the best software Samsung has put on a phone, and it's made better with the AI additions. However, with a lack of hardware upgrades compared to the previous model, the Galaxy S25 Plus feels very much the same and isn't as exciting of an upgrade as it should be.
